Russian operators prepare for new premium SMS rules

Russian mobile operators are preparing for expected new regulations requiring more transparency on premium SMS services. They are preparing their systems for new requirements to inform subscribers of prices for the premium services, confirm their subscriptions and provide a clear opt-out system, reports Vedomosti. The Ministry of Communications said the draft proposal is expected to go to the federal government for final approval by March.
