Samsung Electronics Vietnam opens mobile handset factory

Samsung Electronics Vietnam has formally opened its mobile phone factory in the north of the country, Dow Jones Newswires reports. The plant, located in the Bac Ninh province, will produce 100 million mobile phones annually from 2012. The company plans to export 90 percent of the factory's output. Samsung Electronics Vietnam is a joint venture between Samsung Electronics and Vietnam's TIE.
