Smartfren launches Andromax T, Tab 8.0 devices

Indonesian mobile operator and handset maker Smartfren has launched the Andromax T smartphone and Andromax Tab 8.0 tablet. The smartphone runs on Android, features a 4.3-inch screen, and is priced at IDR 1.8 million, Tech In Asia writes. The Andromax Tab 8.0 is priced at IDR 2.35 million. Both devices use Smartfren's CDMA network and support speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps. The operator currently has 12.5 million CDMA subscribers and aims to end the year with 14 million customers. Smartfren, a merger of Mobile-8 and Smart, entered the hardware market last year.
