Sony, Watchdata partner on NFC/FeliCa technology

Sony has signed an agreement with Chinese smart card and contactless technology services provider Watchdata to provide NFC / FeliCa capabilities to Watchdata's NFC product lineups. Under the terms of the agreement, Watchdata will develop NFC / FeliCa technology into SIMpass NFC services with Sony's support in 2013. The agreement allows Watchdata and Sony to provide NFC functions to a wider range of mobile phone handsets.
