
Telecom Italia brings LTE to Cortina d'Ampezzo, Courmayeur

Telecom Italia's mobile unit TIM started expanding its LTE network to popular winter sport resorts after initially offering LTE to residential customers in 13 cities via USB modems. Cortina d'Ampezzo and Courmayeur are the first two winter sport resorts where residents and visitors will be able to surf the web at 100/50 Mbps via LTE while they are on the go. So far, the operator launched LTE in Torino, Milano, Roma, Napoli, Ancona, Brindisi, Catanzaro, Forli, Genova, Padova, Palermo, Taranto, and Trento. Customers are offered four limited edition LTE packages until 3 February, namely 'Internet pack 4G', 'Tutto tablet 4G', 'Tutto internet 4G' and 'Internet 4G'.
