Telekom Deutschland has set the prices for LTE in regions without DSL coverage, according to Telekom Deutschland boss Niek Jan van Damme cited by German press agency DPA. The operator will offer so-called Call & Surf via Funk services from the beginning of April 2011. The tariff costs EUR 39.95 per month including a fixed telephony line and a LTE connection with 3.000/500 Kbps. The service includes a WLAN router Speedport LTE B390 manufactured by Huawei. At the same time, Vodafone Germany will start selling LTE USB modems from 1 December of this year, according to German magazine Focus citing company sources. The modems will be available for use in the LTE test network of Vodafone in Rammenau. The modems are provided by Samsung and the tariffs offered by Vodafone will cost between EUR 42.50 and EUR 72.50 depending on the speed and included data.
