Telstra offers assistance to flood affected customers

Australian telecommunications firm Telstra has introduced assistance packages for its residential and small business customers in Moree Plains Shire Council and Tamworth Regional Council areas as well as Mitchell, Roma, Charleville and surrounding districts who have lost services as a result of the current flooding. Telstra's relief packages include free call diversion, the ability to make local and STD calls on the mobile phone at fixed-line rates, and a one-off credit of AUD 50 for prepaid customers. Longer term, Telstra also offers free cancellation and re-connection of fixed-line and internet services.
