Toyota (Japan) has launched a new-generation vehicle, the AXV-V, which combines the environmentally-friendly aspects of a new D-4 engine with several electronic safety features. The safety features include four displays in the car, two of which are 8-in TFT-LCD colour monitors at the front, with the other two being 6-in TFT-LCDs in the rear of the car. Each screen displays different information, with the driver's display including a 3-dimensional speedometer and collision-avoidance information. The passenger screens include navigational information and a TV monitor. Article discusses the exact functions of these screens, and the other safety features, in great detail.
