Trunkbow, Unicom roll out payment platform in Heilongjiang

Friday 20 April 2012 | 03:35 CET | News
Chinese mobile payment system and mobile VAS services provider Trunkbow International Holdings and China Unicom will deploy a new terminal-based mobile payments service platform in Heilongjiang province. Installation is expected to begin in the second quarter, with services scheduled to launch in the second half of this year. Under the agreement, Trunkbow will receive recurring revenue payments based on a percentage of monthly function fees and transactions processed using the platform. Trunkbow and China Unicom plan to jointly market the technology to retailers for phone-based payments at the point-of-sale, and to corporations, academic institutions, and other organisations as a SaaS and enterprise automation tool for user authentication and internal payment capabilities. The companies earlier announced the rollout of the platform in Sichuan province
