Two Alcatel-Lucent board members step down

Thursday 18 September 2008 | 11:34 CET | News
Alcatel-Lucent has announced that Ed Hagenlocker and Jean-Pierre Halbron have resigned from the company's board of directors. Hagenlocker's resignation is effective immediately and Halbron's resignation will be effective immediately after the close of the board meeting, which is convened to approve the 2008 third quarter results. Their departure is in line with the communication made on 29 July concerning the board's reorganisation. At the time, Alcatel-Lucent said that having moved beyond the transitional phase of the merger, the board would reduce the size of its membership over time while adding several new members with strong industry expertise.
