Univision offers UVideos digital network on Samsung devices

Tuesday 8 January 2013 | 06:28 CET | News

Univision Communications, a media company serving Hispanic America, has signed a partnership agreement with Samsung. The deal will make UVideos, the first bilingual digital video network, available on all 2013 Samsung Smart TVs, connected Blu-ray players and home theater systems.

Beginning this spring, users of select Samsung devices will be able to access Hispanic programming via the UVideos application. UVideos viewers will have access to Univision content, including daytime, primetime, entertainment, sports and news programming. UVideos on Samsung Smart TVs and connected devices also allows viewers to access content in both Spanish and English.

Customers will also have access to a UVideos time synched social stream feature. This capability allows viewers to interact and engage with social conversations taking place between their friends, Univision talent and others around the world. The UVideos application will be pre-installed in Samsung’s personalized app section and also available in the S-Suggest store for Samsung WiFi tablets.
