US, Netherlands to fight cybercrime together

The Netherlands has expanded its cooperation with the US in the fight against cyber criminality after Dutch minister of safety and justice Ivo Opstelten signed a new letter of intent with Janet Napolitano, the US secretary of state for homeland security. The letter of intent builds on past bilateral security cooperation initiatives, and outlines several areas for further collaboration on cybersecurity including incident management and response activities, control systems security, and cybersecurity exercises. During the meeting, Opstelten and Napolitano discussed the importance of international cooperation and coordination in the fight against terrorism and transnational crime.
