Vesta, Jibe to showcase m-payment app at MWC 2011

Provider of electronic payments services Vesta and communications platform provider Jibe Mobile launched a mobile payments application designed for operators and handset manufacturers which will be presented at Mobile World Congress 2011. Vesta will leverage Jibe's App to App platform to enable payments through a user's handset for a variety of consumer goods and services. In addition to prepaid account top-up and bill payment functionality, the offering incorporates Vesta-powered digital content and application purchases. Using Jibe platform's Rich Communication Suite (RCS) specification, the application will also enable peer-to-peer 'gifted' purchases between subscribers. As with all of Vesta's payment products, the application is 100 percent PCI compliant and fully indemnifies the operator against fraud losses.
