Vodacom South Africa to introduce nano Sims

Thursday 27 September 2012 | 16:27 CET | News
Vodacom South Africa said it has received a shipment of nano Sims and they should be in stores by 28 September. In mid-September Vodacom informed their trading partners that they should order new Nano SIM cards to be used in a soon to be announced new handset, reports MyBroadband. The new nano Sims will be used in the iPhone 5, which is starting to appear in South Africa through direct imports. Vodacom CEO Shameel Joosub recently said that the operator expects to launch the iPhone 5 in South Africa before the end of the year.

Launch the iPhone5 at the END of the year... Pathetic effort from one of the biggest in Africa. To add insult to ineptitude, they'll charge us FOUR times what the handset's worth.
