Vodafone, 3 Italia confirm iPhone 5 to support 4G in 2013

Italian operators Vodafone Italia and 3 Italia have issued statements confirming that the new iPhone 5 will support LTE from 2013, when the 4G services are launched. Sales of the iPhone 5 in Italy are due to start on 28 September. The latest smartphone from Apple supports the bands 850 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz for LTE. In Italy, the 1800 MHz band will be used for LTE.
