Vodafone Czech Republic is currently installing transmitters for HSPA+ Dual Carrier 42 Mbps in 44 cities. From 5 October, the maximum theoretical speed will be increased from 21 Mbps to 42 Mbps; the real speed will be about 30 Mbps. Testing of HSPA+DC was launched already in January in Beroun and in July in Karlovy Vary. Vodafone customers can use the fast network with phones such as the iPhone 5 or Nokia Lumia 900. The real speed of 30 Mbps can be used also with the USB modem Vodafone K4605, which will be offered from 1 November (standard price CZK 2,177 or with minimum monthly spending of CZK 477 priced at CZK 977). The launch of HSPA+ DC comes ahead of the construction of a LTE network. Vodafone's 3G data services cover 7 million people. The highest possible speed is available to all customers, irrespective of their tariff plan.
