Monday 1 November 2010 | 09:56 CET | News
Vodafone Germany has deployed nine LTE locations in five German states and plans to cover more gaps in mobile broadband coverage by the second half of this year. The operator expects to be able to offer LTE-enabled devices in December enabling the inhabitants of the coverage areas to use LTE for broadband. The around 20 antennas were activated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, Saxony, North Rhine Westphalia and Bavaria. The target is to activate around 1,500 locations with LTE by the end of March 2011.
