Zetes to provide digital fingerprinting systems to Belgium

European automatic identification services provider Zetes will provide new digital fingerprint systems for Belgium's border offices after winning a contract from the Federal Police, DataNews reported. The multi-year contract will cover the purchase, supply, installation and implementation of the system. The system itself will integrate hardware and software for taking and identifying digital fingerprinting. The contract is part of the European VIS, or Visa Information System, regulation, aimed at simplying visa application procedures and preventing fraud. The Zeta contract was initially estimated at EUR 768,000 but is actually worth EUR 223,000.
