Australian banks offer consumers more choice in mobile banking

According to Australian Banking and Finance mobile banking has been growing in popularity in Australia, but mobile transactions are lagging behind. Several financial institutions such as ING Direct Australia and Commonwealth Bank of Australia have reported large increases in the number of mobile banking users. However this relates to mostly checking balances and not to fund transfers. A new service from National Bank of Australia (NAB) may start to change this, although they are not the first one to launch this kind of service.
