European Commission wants to boost e-commerce in EU

The European Commission aims to boost the digital economy and help grow cross-border e-commerce. The strategy for the Digital Single Market sees strong potential for European companies and job creation by lowering or removing barriers for merchants and buyers. At the same time, the market power of online platforms and intermediaries will be scrutinized, as part of further moves on data protection, privacy and online security.
