CMA CGM taps Marlink to strengthen maritime fleet's connectivity with Oneweb service

French shipping and logistics group CMA CGM, an anchor shareholder of Eutelsat group, has signed a new agreement to equip more than 300 of its vessels with multi-LEO (Low Earth Orbit) connectivity. The project will be carried out by the group's long-standing partner and satellite service provider Marlink, which will integrate Eutelsat's Oneweb LEO service into a broader hybrid network architecture tailored to CMA CGM's requirements, building on the existing combination of LEO and GEO capabilities.

Alphabet launches major debt issue

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has launched a major debt issue. According to a prospectus filed with the SEC, the issue will have seven series with varying maturities, with the proceeds going to "general corporate purposes", including refinancing existing debt. The Financial Times reported citing market sources that the issue will include a 100-year bond, in the company's debut offering in pound sterling, as well as USD 20 billion in dollar debt and a Swiss franc issue.

Openreach CEO to take over as CEO of BT International

BT Group has announced leadership changes at Openreach and BT International. With effect from 01 April 2026, Katie Milligan, currently Deputy CEO at Openreach, will take over from Clive Selley as CEO of Openreach. Selley will become CEO of BT International, replacing Bas Burger, who is leaving BT Group after 18 years.

Proact IT Q4 revenue falls 5% but sees prospects in Europe amid concerns over US cloud provision

Proact IT has announced a drop of near 5 percent in fourth quarter revenue as challenges continued in its West and Central business units and amid weaker system sales. Even so, it says it has a strong position in the Nordic, Baltic and UK markets and is concentrating on driving profitable growth in 2026. European concerns about dependency on US cloud providers is among factors supporting Proact IT's business.

Indosat's profit jumps more than 12% in 2025, ARPU climbs 6.4%

Indonesian operator Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) posted revenue of IDR 15.36 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2025, which represents an increase of 9 percent quarter-on-quarter. Revenue for the twelve months of 2025 reached IDR 56.5 trillion, up from IDR 55.89 trillion in 2024. IOH also reports that its net profit rose 12.2 percent year-on-year to IDR 5.5 trillion in 2025.

Vodafone Spain's second brand Lowi has launched two new 'operator attack' convergent offers aimed at current Digi Spain customers, reports ADSL Zone. The first plan comes with fibre broadband at 1Gbps speeds plus a mobile line with 300GB of 5G data for EUR 25 a month, a 40 percent saving on its usual monthly price.

Ooredoo Group said its revenue increased 8 percent year-on-year to QAR 6.43 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025. EBITDA also grew by 8 percent, to QAR 2.52 billion, for a stable EBITDA margin of 39.2 percent. Reported net profit rose by 51 percent to QAR 776 million, while normalized net profit surged by 24 percent QAR 960 million. Kena gifts Telepass service and fuel cashback to all subs

Telecom Italia's low-cost brand Kena has officially launched a promotion giving all users access to the Telepass Sempre service of electronic toll collection operator Telepass for free for 12 months. Following last year's agreement between TIM and Telepass to launch joint commercial deals, Kena subscribers who sign up to Telepass via the latter's app will be able to access Telepass Sempre.

Chad is seeking to revise an agreement with telecom operators Sotel and Airtel as it moves to restart work on the N'Djamena–Mbere fibre-optic route. Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced on its website that a new set of existing prepay customers will be subject to a price increase of up to EUR 2.99 a month applied to their plans starting on 15 March. The move follows a similar unilateral price hike announced for other mobile plans earlier this year, all of which the operator attributed to "economic needs connected to changes in market conditions."

Verizon said its customers used 40.32 TB of data in and around the Levi's Stadium in San Francisco on the day of the Super Bowl (08 February), a 6 percent increase over last year. UAE operator Du said its revenues grew by 10.6 percent year-over-year to AED 4.3 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025.
