Boosting Telco Innovation – How SDN/NFV Enables New Services

Friday 23 June 2017 | 15:27 CET | White paper | provided by Comarch

Network function virtualization and software-defined networks allow operators to empower their partners with BSS/OSS tools to manage their own “slice” of the network – delivering applications and service quality at a level previously unimaginable.

The benefits for an operator and their partners are clear: innovative product and service offers gain and retain customers, generating revenue for both. This is possible because SDN/NFV free networks from their physical constraints, enabling dynamic optimization and customer-centric delivery. From games to sport, operators and partners can work in symbiosis to present customers with the quality of service that they are increasingly demanding. The same is true in the business sector, with, for example, telcos and banks offering one-stop services in a pragmatic, customer-focused manner made possible because telcos can provide self-empowerment tools.
