1&1 offers phone upgrade option after 12 months

German operator 1&1 announced a new option for customers to upgrade to a new phone after only 12 months. The option NewPhone is available to customers on All-Net-Flat subscriptions bought with a phone, at a cost of EUR 4.99 per month. They can select a new device from the 12th month of the contract, based on a trade-in of their original device.
