1&1 told to stop linking DSL sales to router selection

The district court of Koblenz has ruled that 1&1 should not suggest to customers they must take one of its recommended routers in order to subscribe to its DSL tariffs. That message is misleading and violates the Telecommunications Act, the court said following a complaint of the German association for the protection of consumers Vzbv.
