3 Austria must stop charging paying-in slip processing fee

Austrian consumer group VKI said the Supreme Court has ruled Hutchison unit 3 Austria's decision to charge for bill payments via paying-in slip as impermissible. The court had already made similar rulings against T-Mobile Austria and A1 Telekom Austria. VKI said it is still inviting the public to joint its free class action to demand the repayment of the fees, until 30 September. The action is being taken against companies in a large range of sectors, and nearly 4,000 customers have signed up.
