5 in 6 Germans to give digital presents for Christmas

A survey by industry group Bitkom found that 5 out of 6 Germans (84%) plan to give digital presents for Christmas this year/ These include computer and video games, vouchers for online services and shops, pre-paid credit, or digital media such as CDs and DVDs. Over one third (34%) plan to give vouchers for online shops such as Amazon and Zalando or streaming services such as Netflix and Spotify, up from 28 percent in 2014 and 22 percent in 2013. Computer and video games remain the most popular digital present with 35 percent planning to give digital games this Christmas, with around 1 in 4
