5G to boost infrastructure-sharing agreements - OECD

The practical and cost considerations of rolling out new 5G networks will prompt countries to increasingly foster infrastructure-sharing agreements, according to a wide-ranging new study from the OECD. The report, entitled "The Road to 5G Networks", said such agreements are inherent to the use of mmWave spectrum, with MNOs expecting substantial savings by sharing 5G base stations and other infrastructure.
