6 in 10 UK TV viewers pay for SVoD service - survey

Research by OTT quality assurance and data specialist Conviva shows that 6 out of 10 TV viewers in the UK pay for a subscription VoD (SVoD) service, reports Digital TV Europe. The survey of 400 UK consumers found that the majority (79%) of online TV viewers prefer watching through a computer, 47 percent use tablets, 44 percent use smartphones, 29 percent use smart TVs and 26 percent view online TV on games consoles. Over one third (35%) of online TV users cited quality of experience as the most important factor when selecting an OTT service, compared with amount of content (32%), price (23%),
