60% of homes without internet in Mexico say costs too high

Sixty percent of households with no internet access in Mexico cite cost as the main reason for not subscribing to the service, reports local daily Jornada, citing a study by BBVA Bancomer. This figure has increased from 57 percent in 2010. Another 11 percent of households aren't connected due to the lack of internet skills of its members, while 27 percent aren't interested or have no need for internet. The remaining 2 percent are offline for other reasons. At the end of last year some 40 percent of households had access to a PC, representing a growth of 95 percent compared to 2005. By
