70% of Swiss cardholders have used contactless payments

Seventy percent of Swiss holders of payment cards have used contactless payment at least once, according to a study by the syndicate of Swiss card providers among 15,000 people, Cetoday.ch reports. In Switzerland, contactless payment is available at four out of five points of sale. This payment method is the most popular in German-speaking Switzerland at 72 percent, followed by Western Switzerland at 64 percent and Ticino at 67 percent.
