83% of Latin Americans want to purchase via mobile phone

In Latin America, 83 percent of consumers plan to buy products and services through their mobile devices, according to research from SAP. The study was conducted among 12,424 people in 17 countries in Latin America. It found that in the last year in Latin America, 24 percent of respondents made purchases over the internet on mobile phones or tablets, 11 percent bought via mobile application and 8 percent bought some product through SMS.
