A third of Mexicans paying for audiovisual content online

A third of Mexicans (33%) paid to stream audiovisual content via the internet in 2018, according to the latest 'Somos Audiencias' study conducted by the country's telecommunications regulator IFT. The most popular platform by far is Netflix, used by 92 percent of paid streaming subscribers, up from 84 percent a year earlier, followed by ClaroVideo with 11 percent, YouTube Red with 9 percent, Blim with 5 percent and Amazon Prime Video with 3 percent.
