A1 faces complaint over customer data retention

Austrian operator A1 is alleged to have retained personal data of some users of its mobile and fixed services, and Bob and Red Bull Mobile for years, reported Kurier. The newspaper was citing a statement from lawyer Ewald Scheucher, who has reported the matter to the data protection authority. Data of "tens of thousands" of customers were retained without legal grounds, without the consent of the customers and for an unlimited time.
