AAPT revenues continue lower in H1

Friday 22 February 2013 | 10:43 CET | News
Australian operator AAPT reported revenues for the fiscal first half to December of AUD 206 million, down from AUD 289 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA at the Telecom New Zealand subsidiary fell to AUD 27 million from AUD 31 million over the same period despite a sharp reduction in labour costs. The company said it saw continued price pressure and was trying to exit low-margin businesses. It will focus on cost reductions and customer retention, as well as integrating the acquisition of Nextep, which should add to EBITDA from next year.
