ABE targets revs of USD 7 mln with TKSAT-1 this year

Bolivia's Space Agency (ABE) expects to obtain revenues of USD 7 million from the provision of telecoms services through the country's TKSAT-1 (Tupac Katari) satellite in 2014, Jornada reports, citing ABE's head Ivan Zambrana. According to a recent report, the agency expects to record revenues of USD 15-20 million from the provision of telecoms services through the TKSAT-1 in 2015. The Tupac Katari satellite was launched into space in December 2013 and on 1 April began commercial operations.
