Abertis buys first tranche of Telefonica, Yoigo towers

Spanish infrastructure operator Abertis announced that it has completed the first phase of taking over network equipment from Telefonica and Yoigo, after receiving clearance from the regulator CNMC. This covers the acquisition of 1,741 mobile sites for EUR 171 million, as first announced in August 2013. Telefonica and Yoigo will continue to use the sites, and they will be opened up to other operators as well.
