Colombian president Ivan Duque has announced the appointment of Karen Abudinen Abuchaibe as the country's new ICT minister, following the resignation of Sylvia Constain. A lawyer, Abudinen recently served as presidential councillor for regions and was previously director of the ICBF and secretary of education at the Barranquilla mayor's office. She also actively collaborated with Constain in the development of the country's ICT modernisation bill, which entered into force last year.
