Abuja digital TV switchover takes place on 28 December

The Nigerian government is set to launch the Digital Switch Over (DSO) in broadcasting in Abuja on 28 December, reports ThisDay. Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed said 30 free channels would be available for Abuja residents upon the switchover, and over 450,000 Set-Top Boxes (decoders) have been provided for the commencement.
