Acer to launch first Chromebox in Sept from USD 180

Acer has announced the launch of its first Chromebox, the desktop equivalent of the Chromebook laptop. The Acer Chromebox CXI will run on Google's Chrome OS software, a browser-based operating system linked to Google's cloud services and apps, and comes with HDMI and Display Ports, USB 3.0, an SD card reader, as well as a mouse and keyboard. The device runs an Intel Celeron 2957U dual-core 1.4 GHz processor, has a 16 GB solid-state drive and a boot-up time of just eight seconds according to Acer. It will available in the US in September at a starting price of USD 179.99 for the 2 GB model and
