ACM agrees with new EC Relevant Markets Recommendation

Saturday 11 October 2014 | 14:04 CET | News
Dutch regulator ACM said it agrees with the regulation changes announced by the European Commission through the Relevant Markets Recommendation. Advised by Berec, ACM made an active contribution to the final texts. On 9 October, outgoing EU digital economy commissioner Neelie Kroes said the EC will no longer regulate the retail market for access to fixed telephony and the wholesale market for fixed call origination. The EC said it will also redefine two broadband markets with a view to limiting regulatory burdens to what is strictly necessary for competitive broadband access and investment.
