ACMA studies NBN modem performance on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz band

Wi-Fi performance can be seriously affected by interference, obstacles and the frequency that it operates on, either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band, according to a report from Australia's Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). The study also showed that the 5 GHz band provides superior coverage. The highlights the impact modems can have on the performance of internet services delivered over the NBN.
