Acome sees fibre business growing by 30-40% a year

Driven by fibre network deployments in France and elsewhere in Europe, French cablemaker Acome expects its fibre manufacturing business to grow by 30-40 percent this year, after growing by 25 percent in 2013. The company will invest EUR 10 million in fibre-making capacity in the next two years. The company said in July 2013 that it had already invested EUR 50 million. France used to be behind Northern Europe, Asia and America, but is now the continent's most dynamic, said president Jacques de Heere at the company's bi-annual conference, covered by Les Echos.
