Acronis, a global cyber protection and hybrid cloud storage specialist based in Switzerland and Singapore, announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft. The aim of the partnership is to better integrate data protection tools from Acronis to Azure cloud services of Microsoft.

Acronis provides data protection for all Microsoft workloads, including workstations, servers, applications and mobile devices, enabling customers, resellers and service providers to take full advantage of Microsoft's technology platform.

In addition, Acronis can back up Microsoft Azure workloads with Acronis Backup and Acronis Backup Cloud. In future releases of Acronis products, Azure will be available as an optional storage location alongside Acronis Cloud and other public cloud providers.
