AfDB to fund Algiers-Abuja stretch of Niger-Chad fibre link

Algeria's ICT Minister Iman Houda Feraoun said that African Development Bank (AfDB) has agreed in to finance the optic link from Algiers to Abuja. Feraoun told APS that the bank has agreed in principle to finance the remaining section of the link between Niger and Chad. Like Niger, Algeria has long ago completed the works as far as In Guezzam, an Algerian town on the border with Niger, but Chad and Niger asked to suspend the project for financial reasons.
