Africa mobile phone shipments decline 2.1% in Q3

Africa's mobile phone market declined 2.1 percent quarter on quarter in Q3 2018, according to the latest figures announced by International Data Corporation (IDC). Overall shipments for the quarter totaled 52.6 million units, with feature phone shipments falling 2.7 percent QoQ and smartphone shipments declining 1.3 percent over the same period.
