Africa smartphone market grows 3.8% in Q4

Friday 6 March 2020 | 08:36 CET | News
The African mobile phone market grew 3.8 percent year on year in Q4 2019, according to the latest report from IDC. The growth was spurred by various end-of-year sales promotions, as well as earlier Black Friday and Cyber Monday discount offerings. Sustained demand for entry-level phones launched throughout 2019 also supported shipment growth.
