African ICT ministers seek scheme funding, mull space agency

African ICT ministers have ended the Fourth African Telecommunication meeting in Sudan by resolving to secure the necessary funds to reserve orbits for the continent's satellites and merge mail services in the telecommunications sector, Sudan Vision reported. Ministers demanded an acceleration of the shift from analogue to digital broadcasting, national legislations on electronic domain security, enough funds to implement the .africa (Dot Africa) domain programme, faster implementation of priority projects, support for teams updating African networks to IPv6, and more distance education
