The mobile broadband market in Africa is set to grow to USD 2.5 billion by 2017, CommsMEA reported citing a study by Frost & Sullivan. West and Central Africa have seen a dramatic increase in mobile broadband uptake, with Nigeria taking the lion's share. Both Nigeria and Ghana have seen the most dynamic broadband markets in sub-Saharan Africa, with over 150 market participants and rapid infrastructure development, the study said.
