AfriConnect picks Airspan for 4G network in Zambia

Airspan Networks said Zambian ISP AfriConnect has selected its 4G equipment to deliver broadband services to Lusaka and other major cities in Zambia. It will use Airspan's flagship Air4G compact macro base station, enabling wide area coverage and extremely high capacity. The first phase of the project includes several thousand subscriber terminals to be deployed in Lusaka, and is expected to expand coverage into other towns and cities.
