AI systems spending to pass USD 79 bln in 2022, led by retail sector

Spending on artificial intelligence (AI) systems will increase this year by 44 percent to reach USD 35.9 billion, according to the latest study from IDC. By 2022, global spending will more than double to USD 79.2 billion, boosted by new projects using AI software capabilities.
